Revolutionize Your Life With These 5 Steps

Yes, this is the right time to Revolutionize our lives.  Read and take these 5 steps: 

1. Mind/Body- Create your vision of health & freedom (your unalienable rights)

  • The founders wanted more than anything to be free and independent.  They saw the future and made it happen.  If someone asked you, “What do you want most in life?”, what would you answer?  Well, I’m asking :-)  You can send your response to me right now; Peter K   I’d like to help you make it come true.
2. Nutrition- Write your constitution (food plan) abigail adams
3. Fitness- Gather your strength and ammunition (train your body)

 

4, Posture & Pain- Be like George (look and act like a leader)1800 cal breakfasts 
  • Washington wasn’t the best educated and he lacked military experience.  How did he lead a ragtag group to defeat the world’s largest empire?  He made everyone think he was in charge by standing and sitting taller than anyone else, and always appearing calm.  He used posture to make himself appear larger than life.  Sit tall right now and feel the difference from slouching.  People will take notice and you’ll feel less pain.  Set an hourly timer that reminds you to sit and stand tall.

5. Stress-
Declare your independence (from that little voice in your head)1800 cal breakfasts

In a small rented room in Philadelphia, Jefferson wrote the document that would change the world forever.  If I was there I’d ask him to write about that voice in our heads that holds more power over us than any king has or ever will.  You know the voice. It says, “It’s too hard, I don’t deserve it, I’m too overwhelmed right now.”  Here’s what to do about it.  Identify what it is saying, decide whether it’s true and declare your independence from it.  Then, find a mentor like the founders did.  I know a really good health coach you might want to email now :-)

Delicious, healthy food at a museum, not possible. At MOMA’s, The Modern and Cafe 2 it is

At a recent meeting at MOMA I ate an incredible meal that included salmon, figs, prosciutto and hibiscus tea.  Yes, this was at a museum.  Below is a picture of Cafe 2 at MOMA. Not your average museum cafe.

The folks at Union Square Hospitality Group have set museum dining at a new level. No more greasy burgers and soggy fries for you and the kids.  I love working with companies like USHG who see what’s wrong and change it for the better.  Make sure you visit The Modern and Cafe 2 this summer and try the grilled calamari :-)

The perfect drink for hot times- it’s not iced coffee

No calories, heart healthy, fights cancer, but doesn’t taste great.  Well, nobodys perfect. Iced green tea gets pretty close to perfection though.  If you live near a starbucks ask for an iced green tea or for better flavor and antiinflammatory properties and slightly better taste, pour their green ginger tea over some ice.

As you may know, 5 Minutes to Fitness+ core exercise program has push-ups as one of the exercise.  I have clients who never thought they could do one (they started doing against the wall) and now they can do 10 on the floor!

Here’s what to remember about pushups.

  • don’t hold your breath
  • keep your head in line with your body
  • don’t let your back sag
  • take your time and applaud yourself for doing them (they are tough :-) !!!!!
